*You can change the output style with the Output Styles drop-down menu on the left side of the toolbar.

Open and Edit References

3 ways to open and edit a citation:

1. Double-click it.

2. Select it and press Enter.

3. Select it and choose Edit Reference from the References menu (or right click).

The citation will open in a separate window (see screenshot below). To edit, tab between fields or use your mouse to click in the fields you want to change.

When you're finished, from the File menu select Close Reference to close the citation and click Yes when asked: "Do you want to save the changes you made to the reference?"

Step 1b: For existing references, select them in the Reference List panel. You can update multiple references at the same time.

Step 2: From the References menu select Find Reference Updates.

Step 3: Select Update All Fields or Update Empty Fields from the Review Available Updates pop-up window and click Save Updates.

Step 4: Choose OK when asked "Are you sure you want to save the update to this reference? and view the updated or enhanced reference in the reference window.
