Import One Reference from an EBSCO Database

Step 1: Search for and select (by clicking on the title) the desired reference.

Step 2: Click Export in the Tools menu.

 

Step 3: Select Direct export in RIS format (this is usually selected by default) and then click Save.

Step 4: Select the application with which to open the .ris file (see the "Add References" page for help).

Step 5: The new reference will appear in your Imported References folder in EndNote Desktop.

Import Multiple References from an EBSCO Database

Step 1: Search for and save references to a folder by clicking on the blue folder icon when in the search results.

Step 2: The folder and its contents will appear on the right side of the screen next to the search results. Click on Go to: Folder View at the bottom of the box.

Step 3: In Folder View, select the references to be exported and click Export.

 

Step 4: Select Direct export in RIS format (this is usually selected by default) and then click Save. You may also check Remove these items from folder after saving to delete the saved references from your folder.

Step 5: Select the application with which to open the .ris file (see the "Add References" page for help).

Step 6: The new references will appear in your Imported References folder in EndNote Desktop.
