In addition to the fields noted in Editing, the following fields will be included in an original record, as needed.

245      Title statement

 

The title proper should be recorded as it appears on the disc surface. If there is no title on the disc surface, use an available title from the container or spine and include a note.

            500       $a Title from booklet.

 

Indicators:

 

1st

0 = Use when no 1XX field is present.

1 = Use when 1XX field is present

2nd

0 = No non-filing characters

1-9 = Number of non-filing characters present

 

Add “$h [sound recording].” $h always precedes any subtitle or parallel title ($b) information, but follows numbering or part information ($n, $p).
