Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Water News
As Senator Dick Durbin said:"This new US Water and Development Strategy will help lift poor people around the world out of conflict and poverty. It is smart and strategic. It builds on our past successes and makes use of new breakthroughs in science and technology." (Read more about Dick Durbin's Announcement of USAID's First-ever Global Water and Development Strategy issued May 21, 2013) You may also want to read Senator Paul Simon Water for the World Act (H.R. 3658, 112th Congress, 2011) and Senator Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-121)
The Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act requires the Secretary of State, in consultation with the USAID Administrator, to submit an annual report to Congress describing changes in the U.S. strategy and progress in achieving the objectives of the Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act. The current and archive of this annual report to Congress (2006-present, PDF) is available here.
