Interagency Water Working Group

The Inter-Agency Water Working Group (IWWG), led by U.S. Department of State (DOS, is the leading interagency working group for international water policy. The IWWG has been in existence since 2001, and meets monthly to discuss and coordinate USG strategy regarding global water issues. The IWWG benefits from active participation by 20 technical and military agencies, including Bureau of Reclamation, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD), Department of the Interior (DOI), Department of the Treasury, Department of Commerce (DOC), Environmental Protection Agency, International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. Section (IWBC), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), National Aeronautic and Space Agency (NASA), National Geo-Spatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Peace Corps, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Forest Service (USFS) , and U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
