1. Sign into your ResearcherID account. The first time you do this, you will be given the choice whether you would like to integrate ResearcherID with an ORCID ID. This can be done if you already have an ORCID profile or you can go ahead and set up an ORCID ID at that time.
2. If you have not registered for an ORCID ID yet, chose the appropriate option and click continue.
3. Fill out the registration information. Make sure that you set the Default Privacy for New Works option to Public. This will enable ResearcherID to see any publications listed in your ORCID profile.
4. Next, choose which data you would like to exchange between ResearcherID and ORCID.
5. You can always come back to this at a later point by clicking on the Exchange data with ORCID button in your ResearcherID profile.
6. For example, to update your profile information in ResearcherID and ORCID, click on Go next to the Profile Data option and authorize the access.
7. You can send any of your publications you have listed in ResearcherID to your ORCID profile and vice versa.
8. Select the publications you would like to send to ORCID and click Send. You can do 100 publications at a time.
9. You can also add any papers you have in your ORCID profile into ResearcherID.
