3D Printing at Morris Library Workshop

Have you seen 3D printing mentioned in the news or on some of your favorite TV shows? Do you have a vague idea of what 3D printing is, but want to learn more. This workshop will teach you the basics of 3D printing:  what a 3D printer is, how it works, and the types of objects you can print. This is an introductory workshop that won't go into much about 3D modeling, but will provide a general overview of 3D printing technology.  You will get to see the 3D printer in action and learn about Morris Library's 3D printing program and how you can make use of the library's 3D printer.  Each session covers the same information.

Introduction to 3D Modeling

Have you never tried any 3D modeling software or are not very experienced in it yet.  This workshop will teach you the basics.  We will go over several free and open-source 3D modeling software options.  Each software's features, as well as the pros and cons, will be discussed and a brief demonstration will be held.  If you find a software that you like and want to use more, sign up for one of our future software specific workshops.
