Finding Articles about Animal Diversity

Note:

The EBSCOHost Databases box and the Web of Science box allow you to search many biology databases for articles about animal diversity (in Web of Science there is Biological Abstracts, Zoological Record, Science Citation Index), etc.).

When using these tools, don't search with sentences. Use your key terms and connect them with the words and (i.e. all of my words), or (any of my words), or not (none of these words):

What do sea stars eat  ---> Sea stars and diet

You may be able to narrow your search by using the genus and species name of a specific organism (example: Astropecten americanus) or broadening your search by using the phylum (echinoderms)

Sample searches:

  • kelp and biodiversity
  • nudibranch and temperature
  • "spider crabs" and decoration

Use the Find Full Text link in the article citations to see if we have the item online or in print at Morris Library.
