A selection of online cartographic resources.

250,000 Maps to Choose From in Geospatial Resources

The best way to find maps using the catalog is to go directly to the Advanced Search. At the Library's main page, https://lib.siu.edu/, scroll down and click or tap on "library catalog".

Type your search words into the "Enter a search term" blank or blanks. You can limit your search in a variety of ways—publication date, language, etc. Under “Material Type”, select “Maps.” Tap "Search".

On the left side of the results screen, there is a list of ways to further “Refine my results.” Tap a category to view and choose available options.

Select the item that interests you and bring the call number to Geospatial Resources on the 4th floor of the building. One of our staff will help you locate the map and find similar items.
